Stuck in the wrong job
Your daily hours and life are important.
However, if you are spending your daily life and hours doing a job you despise, and in a bad situation, it very quickly sours so much of your life.
I started to realize, “Man, I am spending so much time processing through how things are crappy”, and meanwhile, my professional growth was not soaring. I’m having all these hard conversations in my life, and I’m thinking, “How am I going to keep growing?
Jennifer Froemel
Jennifer didn’t want to leave, but she knew that it was necessary because she could see that there wouldn’t be many long-term benefits of staying in a job she hated, with no clear progression and no movement in sight.
How leaving opens doors
Leaving a bad job is not quitting. If you weigh up the pros and cons, and it is really not looking good, then you will need to start saying “no” so that you can actually start saying “yes” to the real things that are meant for you.
Jennifer started small, and that’s how she slowly grew her own private practice.
I started taking on more and more clients in my private office and started thinking more and more about the ability to create my own place, where I could hire people, and I could supervise people. I was making room for a bigger “yes!”

Avoiding making change that feels daunting can feel easier in the long run, but it slowly erodes your vitality.
Today, I ask myself, “What is the cost of staying the same?” And, “Who am I trying to protect in the process? And what part of me is ready to be free of that?”

The cost of staying the same
The bottom line is that there is going to be discomfort at both levels: it will be uncomfortable to stay where you are, and it will be uncomfortable to change and grow.
Essentially, you need to choose your discomfort. Remember, you and the life that you can have are worth the effort it takes to get yourself there!
